Folks this was all discussed on the HDVR show about MFVA. You can go back and listen to past shows if you like. MFVA is a work in progress and the website is slowly getting polished up with everything. Just like on the discounts page everything is not exact just yet. Like I said this is an all volunteer group so we have to be patient as people get time to do things. We will have a “mission statment” up in the near future.
As far as the legal side of things, the membership numbers have to grow for us to be able to pay a legal team. Lawyers are expensive and that is not going to change. We are talking thousands of dollars for counsel. We are working with some donation only driven legal organizations that use volunteer attorneys and staff but is funded through donations.
We also can and do represent vendors by one of our staff that knows the laws and how to work with health depts., zoning, etc because of their experience. They call on behalf of the member as a board member of MFVA. We have already done this on numerous occasions with success. When any trade organization calls on behalf of a vendor people take a different tone and willing to work with a vendor and not against them. People dont like when trade organizations are against them.
My “rear in gear” ? Excuse me what are you talking about. You want to volunteer some of your time with the MFVA? If so then you can get you “rear in gear” and come on over
