Well what 48hrs does .. well I went back to work out a deal with the company rep for the local store I was mentioning about for the Sat and Sun buying the dogs outright.. Well now were back peddling and they guy that wanted to do this is only a temp and when the GM gets back on Monday he wont be there. I could see in his face he was worried and embrassed that I showed up and questioned him about the deal and if I could do a trial run this weekend.
So folks I am back to .. hell I don’t know. I also got ran off of my spot I had been using for more than a week. Some glorified trash collector for the state said I can’t set up cause I am on state highway and I pointed out that if I was giving these dogs away you wouldn’t be saying a word to me. So I might try as some ladies of the red light district do on some websites where they take “donations” for there expertise. Could be an interesting test..but I could get fined 500 dollars but I would be willing to go to court to fight the ticket.
It’s weird I can sell watermellon, corn, or boiled peanuts and the state says that’s fine. But a “LIC, State Inspected, HD Inspeted,” Hot Dog cart can’t sell dogs on a side road. It’s not like I was making a kiling. I was making maybe 30 after diesel and toll and such. But I was starting to build a customer base that was happy for me to be there and were very appreciative of me trying to do something with my cart.
So that’s it folks. I am going to go to a few places and see about setting up and see what I can do..if the weekend gig does come through you all will be first to know.
Ok I need to get back out there. I can’t let my shyness keep me down. I got to get out there and try to get a new spot tomorrow.
Wish me LUCK!
sincerely,
Healthy
