I just got a wedding invitation in the mail yesterday for my son’s former 1st grade teacher.

Her current name is Diana S. Petty
She is marrying Ben Coates

She said she is hyphenating the names so she will become

Diana S Petty-Coates

Life can be so strange and funny at times

For the sake of any children they might have, I sincerely hope they have only girls, and no boys.  It is really too bad that parents don’t take everything into consideration if they choose to hyphenate their names for marriage purposes.  This case would be a direct set-up for bullying of any boys they might have.
