Danimal. That’s a good question… what do RMO’s taste like ? Also a question I have asked myself from time to time. Not quite sure how to describe the taste, but I will give it a go, never the less.
As far as the ones served at the Buckhorn, they are definitely on the mild side. Not strong in flavor or smell. Not wild or strong tasting at all. They are breaded. Served in a bowl. I eat them as if they are finger food.
If I had to… I would liken them in taste to a very pleasant , mild tasting liver. Somewhat similar in texture as the most tender liver you have ever had.
Again, once one gets past the thought of what they are, as far as I am concerned RMO’s are a very pleasant and different appetizer.
