XM and Credit card can be done with broadband plan. Both will operate from cell phone signal. A fan would probably require some battery (Marine) but I would tough it out since you are where you are. Summer will be over in another 5 weeks!
I plan on getting a broadband plan to play Pandora through a laptop and some Bose speakers. From what I see, the optimum plan is about $60 per month.
