We had over a hundred kids (and adults) , all in costumes,at out front door last night – one halloween about 5 years ago, when a family down the street ran a “haunted house”, we had over 200 kids begging for candy. Here in New Paltz, halloween is a big deal, and, I must say, the kids are pretty good – no damage, no soaped up windows, no dirty tricks – the worst they do is throw eggs at each other, throw rolls of toilet paper in the trees, and spray each other with Barbasol.

Cheers, John
