I have good experiences with my local Subways as long as I stick to cold cuts of some sort. I tried the ‘roast chicken’ once just to see, and well, I noticed a resemblence to a tile. I finished my sandwich but never again. I’ve never tried the egg sandwiches because I don’t trust the look of the ‘egg’. Floor tile again. Vegetables are always nice and fresh. Bread is fine. Overall, nothing I couldn’t make at home, if I wanted to go to the trouble and a less guilty alternative to hamburgers and Tex-Mex. Now if I had other alternatives locally, like the kind you all talk about, I’d be there in a heartbeat, but for my money, locally, I’m satisfied with Subway. I notice that Sonic gets a lot of bad press in the Roadfood forums, but again, locally, at the price, I’m satisfied.
