I know the older lady (who was in her 90s and still working when I last saw her some years ago now) would have been able to speak Italian to anyone who walked in. I am not sure whether she was an immigrant or the daughter of one, but she had an accent. She was a petite delight to see and always had a smile on her face and a warm welcome for her customers. The way we are treated in a place–as well as the food–determines whether or not we return.
