Common Travels is a grassroots initiative started by a group of undergrads across the southern United States. We’re writers, bloggers, and photographers.
 
We’re planning a 2-3 week road trip to explore the back roads and small towns of the American South. Because of time constraints and funding we’re limited to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and the very southeast part of Arkansas.
 
We were hoping that all of y’all amazing people here at Roadfood.com might be able to help us and give us some suggestions on places to check out. We’ll be staying of off interstates and away from big cities, so anywhere out of the way or that has a lot of character or is extremely personally would be much appreciated.
 
We’re also interested in any community events as well.
