DadsDogs, edwmax, CCinNJ, I was referring to locations where one might be starting in the morning and serving breakfast sandwiches, biscuits etc. I realize that there will not be many request for coffee with a hot dog at lunch time. I guess I assumed too much and didn’t explain myself clearly. Sorry about that.

Where I’m from we used exaggerated exaggerations as I did about 55gallon air pots. Sorry again, I didn’t realize that some of you would be taking this literally. In the future I will try not to exaggerate to stress a point.

The comments about the coffee being fresh is very important. I realize that you old coffee experts know all of this.  My post is for the young folks wanting to do coffee. I’m a new vendor with a like new cart. I just got my license yesterday at 4 PM. I’m planning on starting Monday. If the location works out, in a couple of weeks I’m planning on starting early and do breakfast biscuits etc. and coffee.

I’m thinking about getting two 12 cup percolators. I will brew one pot and have the other one ready to go. I will throw a bunch of coffee away at first I’m sure until I figure out the pace.  I have a grill to set the percolator on.

For new ones wanting to serve coffee, if you don’t drink coffee, have an old pro coffee drinker sample your coffee and make suggestions. Also, the point about “ARABICA” beans or grounds is true. Just like your hot dogs, you should use the best coffee too. This you can find out from coffee shops wanting to serve the best consistent beans they can purchase. Ask them!
