Most real coffee drinkers who started drinking coffee when they were 3 years old ( not talking about people who like apple, cinnamon, butterscotch, mocha, so on and so forth “drinks” really not coffee) won’t drink coffee more then 20-30 minutes old. You need to work at not wasting it, but you need to throw it away after 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, it taste like crap.
Besides, while it is brewing it the odor causes people to smell and want it. You can’t accomplish this in a 55 gallon air pot drum of coffee. I HATE IT WHEN I WANT COFFEE SO BAD AND THE BARISTA TELLS ME IT’S ONLY BEEN IN THE “AIR POT OR WHATEVER YOU CALL IT” FOR 3 HOURS. PARDON ME WHILE I PUKE.
If you’re not going to keep coffee brewing and fresh, I recommend that sell hot chocolate. Use two pots. Brew one and as it get low and if you anticipate that you’re going to need more start the other pot brewing. I wonder why you don’t see 55 gallon air pot’s at McDonald s. No it’s not the best I’ve ever tasted, BUT it is the most consistent I’ve tasted between Denver and New Orleans at everyone I stop at on a trip.. Beats the gas station and the convenience store to death.
Only use the “ARABICA coffee. It’s the top quality coffee all over the earth. If you don’t enjoy drinking pure plain coffee, give it up, you’ll never figure out what you’re doing.
It’s like not liking boiled crayfish, or better yet not being able to stand the thought of it. Do you think you could fix it for a bunch of Cajuns that eat them 3 or 4 times a week? It’s almost like a joke eh?
Sell hot chocolate. Something that you know what it’s supposed to taste like.
