When a person thinks about getting into the Hot dog business, how can they even think of a cheap dog. The Hot Dog vendor sells one item, one kind of dog, and maybe a sausage. How can anyone think of selling cheap, and be proud of their business. The HD cart is a one trick pony, you have to think about serving the highest quality dog, soft warm bun, fresh condiments, and make your cart shine above all the rest. Look at all the people who run a successful HD operation, and you will see a person backing up their product 100%. You do not get successful by selling junk, you get it by selling quality that you believe in. If a person doesn’t come back and tell you, that was the best dog I have had in a long time, then you just may be doing something wrong…….Billyb
Hi BillyB you have some really great advice. I won’t be offering cheap or low-quality products, but I do intend to offer a good value option. I will also be happy to change to reflect the needs and tastes of my customers based on the feedback and sales I get.
Please can anyone tell me the difference between a dog and a sausage? Can a sausage be boiled? Do they sell as well as dogs?
