Well, local strawberries in season are always the best [:)] I try very hard not to buy most kinds of unseasonal fruits ( grapes & blueberries being an exception ) but occasionally in winter I’ll buy Spanish strawberries, which are ok, not great, but ok.

The other week I was feeling unwell and not like eating very much at all, had a mad craving for soft fruit and made the stupid mistake of buying imported strawberries from Morocco. They were like acidified sawdust 🙁 hard, dry, harsh and horrible [xx(]I hate, loathe and detest food waste of any kind but after I attempted to eat 3 or four of them, out they went [:(]
