Vinegar works as a neutralizer.
Thanks for the tip.
So, I bought the boil-out solution: 401 fryer boil-out by Discovery Products. I drained the oil, filled the fryer up with water to the fill line, and added a cup of the solution. I let it come to a boil for 15 minutes. I then drained it, and repeated the process and let the water boil for 30 minutes.
Below are the pictures of the results. Not the results I would of liked to have seen. I also used a putty knife during the boiling process on the sides, and it didn’t seem to help much.
You can see on the side walls there is still a lot of build up. The fryer used to be the color of the bottom of the vat channel – that’s nice and clean but the rest leaves a lot to be desired.
What else can I try to get the thing clean?
