Originally I was going to take US 41 south to Evansville IN, which is right across the Ohio River from Henderson, but the night before departure I decided to take Illinois Hwy. 1 down to western KY as it provided more in the way of scenic photo opportunities, along with a chance to visit a Roadfood-reviewed restaurant in Marion KY.

 
I’ve never taken IL-1 any farther south than Georgetown and Mill Road, which goes east to meet up with IN-234, and was thinking of driving it as far as Lawrenceville next month and then crossing into the Hoosier State.
 
But now since you’ve totally ruined it for me I guess I’ll take IN-63 to Terre Haute instead.  Thanks a lot, pal.[;)]
 
Although I’ve heard there’s a good pizza place in Bloomington, which might get you off the hook.
