Louis decided to order light and went with the pork sandwich and a slice of pie ( pecan, I think )…
… and I went with the menu item that Knockum Hill is known for, their amazing colossal pit-cooked pork chop. This thing is enormous, probably big enough to take on Godzilla. Despite being called a pork chop, it’s more like a pork roast, and it is as juicy and flavorful as can be. I ate about one third of it there, along with passable beans and potato salad, and it kept me full until dinnertime. The bulk of this hulk went home with me and I got two more meals out of it. Simply delicious and highly recommended.
Here’s one last photo from Knockum Hill… the “dinning room”, as it’s called on the menu board.
