bb your’e welcome – please give us a full report. One thing I forgot to mention is that Commander’s has 25 cent lunchtime martinis and cosmopolitans.
Something else you can do, is ride the St. Charles streetcar and get off at 7813 St. Charles Ave. and Fern Street, about two blocks before Carrollton. There’s a wonderful little Italian restaurant Vincent’s, that has some great weekday lunches(Tues-Fri) in the $15-20 range with free martinis as long as your ordering an entree. It’s small and cozy, with Louis Prima, Deano, and Frank on the sound system. One thing you’ll find in NOLA is that most Itallian restaurants have lots of seafood choices. Some of my picks would be Vincent’s crab and corn bisque in a bread bowl, seafood medallions, eggplant parmesan. They serve a great blue cheese vinegarette on their salads.
