I also went to Tillamook. I thought it was a real factory tour. Yes, you were up above the factory viewing from a catwalk behind glass. It was very similar to Hershey tour in California where you are up above and behind glass. Now I can still visualize the vats of chocolate with the conch rollers going back and forth. The smell is incredible. I love factory tours. The AB brewery in St. Louis has a great tour. I too like the Ethel M in Vegas and they used to have a marshmallow factory tour next door to it but I do not know if it is still there. My ultimate dream would be to tour See’s Candies in LA or SF but they dont do public tours. Bummer.
