Thanks. In reading through the past posts I was surprised to see how many hot dog vendors buy their products from Sam’s and Costco. Could it be that simple?
The nearest hot dog place to me is in a neighboring town about 35 miles away. He’s only been open a few months but seems to be doing everything right. He projects a well conceived professional image and serves all Vienna Beef products. He says he’s turned a profit from day one although he’s only open from 10am til 2:30pm, six days.
It’s so good and popular that I know people here willing to make the 70 mile round trip once a week to pick up lunch for everyone.
That’s why I say this town is hungry for a good hot dog place. I’ve had the idea for quite some time for a very whimsical island/beach-themed stand (but not a Puka Dog) that would serve everything from a basic dog on a bun to gourmet franks with fancy toppings.
