Nop, it wasn’t Big Tex Xannie. But, I am now thinking my friend is right, it may have been Chill Wills? And it was "steamin" not "heapin". I like mine steamin and heapin!

Boy there is some interesting stuff if you google …"wolf brand chili" history…! The name of the wolf on the can, a book all about Wolf Brand (anyone have it?), Will Rogers love for Wolf Brand, and trucks shaped like a can Wolf Brand with a live wolf in the back. Oh, and why Wolf Brand didn’t sell well in Oklahoma, the crocery store folks put it with the dog food because of the picture on the can.
