I’m Greek.
You can imagine what some of my "weird" childhood snacks were![:D]
Please elaborate!
Greek cookies and candies were not, to me, weird, but they sure were to my friends!
Remember that scene in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", where everyone is trading around PB&Js and Ham & Cheese sandwiches, and she’s eating (I think) Pastitsio or something?
That’d be me. LOL
As a kid, though, we’d do odd things – sugar and butter on baked on strips of phyllo dough and eaten plain or with ice cream or dipped in creme caramel….certain cookies dipped in chocolate or (of all things!) Raspberry jelly…..leftover tiropita or spanakopita, cold, right from the fridge…..
