This is a very important topic.
I give the edge to Wendys. Look at the options there. You can get a baked potato for 99 cents and that’s enough for lunch. Or, add one of those 99 cent salads which may have no taste, but if you’re in it for a healthy lunch that won’t bog you down, it’s alright.
The burgers on the 99 cent menu are much better than anyone else’s. Get a jr cheeseburger deluxe and it just has that fresh taste like it was just whipped up. Crunchy pickles and onions every time. The fries? The give you plenty for 99 cents. The Frosty seals the deal every time. Wendys may have jacked the jr. bacon cheeseburger up to like $1.39 in most places, but oh well. Still worth it. Also, everywhere else it’s a "dollar menu." Something about the "99 cent" thing at Wendy’s that sells it to you psychologically.
I give McDs some credit…they have beefed up theirs and the bread and butter is the double cheeseburger but they also have MEDIUM fries for $1.00. It’s more fries that you need. Plus, the dollar sundae is a GREAT option.
Taco Bell doesn’t count because it’s called a "value menu." Come on, a$$holes, don’t confuse us drunks who pull up to the drive-through. Just carve out a bunch of 99 cent selections.
BK has experimented too much but they are getting it right.
Now, does this discussion include dollar breakfast menus? BK is really upping the anti on theirs.
