mar52… Reason I never suggested one, is that there’s so many that claim to be the best.. Not to mention so many articles that rate each the best… Heck, I’ve been happy with a 55 gallon drum converted over… Heat is heat… In reality, a woodstove is not efficient, even with the direct draft exhaust heat recovery system they have.. Soapstone may retain some heat, but so will a wall built out of brick around a cheap system. Choice is tough if it’s your wallet right now… Harbour Freight has one for 299$ out the door this week, but they say not legal in a mobile home… (walls on the unit must be too thin IMHO). If you have a couple three vacant acres of land, I suggest a corn fed stove, and raise your own heat. (Thats if you want to put a little labor into the fuel source)…
