Depot BBQ in Madeira opened a week or so ago in the old train station that has seen the death of so many other businesses

 

They are not smoking their own meat for now, and are instead bringing in pulled pork and pulled chicken from Pit to Plate in NCH, and burnt ends, brisket, smoked turkey, and ribs (weekend only) from Smoq

 

Owner indicates he plans to start smoking some of his own meats by the end of 2015

 

Their house specialty items is any smoked meat on Freida’s cinnamon bread, which is surprisingly excellent (had it tonight)

 

I have never tried Smoq, but a friend swears by the place. Pit to Plate, I have always liked. How are the sides?
