The surcharge thing would drive me away from even my favorite of places. That's not smart business.

The Hitching Post on Kellogg, one of my favorite chicken places in the city, has 2-, 3- and 4-piece dinners and also has very reasonable by-the-piece prices. My wife and I can dine in there and get stuffed and take leftovers home for about $17. Chicken — even very good chicken — just shouldn't be that expensive.
