Living in the suburbs on a large place, I see dead birds often, and parts of dead birds all the time. A dead bird, or dead anything doesn’t last long before it gets eaten. Feathers and bones endure for months or even years. Here in Massachusetts we are worried about West Nile Virus, but if I called the public health dept for every dead sparrow fledgling, they wouldn’t have time to do their job. Paul, they ARE interested in dead crows. If you find 3 again, I would call the health folks.
