Lutefisk is definately known in Minnesota,but here in Milwaukee there are many societies and churches that have lutefisk dinners for fundraisers and get togethers. I met a couple in North Carolina that assumed I was Norwegian(blond hair)and invited us to their lutefisk gathering.Regional? No.Tradition across the country,yes.Just my opinion and experience.
