10 years ago you had to enjoy Pearson’s with 84 year old clientele. Now they are 94 year olds. [;)] I’m glad you finally admitted it. I said before the Sons of Norway Lodge has a Christmas all white dinner. Now that is bland. If I ever had lutefisk (ca 1982) that would have been the time. I’m pretty sure I just had baked cod. The dinner was buffet style.
I also went to an impeccable afternoon Scandinavian Style buffet a year later at Kaffe Stuga- I believe it was at a hotel (The Sheraton???) in Bloomington. Now, that was good- my first experience with Lefse…I also had some other dishes including herring and cod…
That was a strictly Minnesota Trip and in my opinion each meal was definitevly Minnesotan……Swedish Meatloaf (not Meatballs) and "Raw Apple Dessert" at Crabtree’s Kitchen, Walleye and Turkey Wild Rice Soup at Tavern on Grand, Wild Rice Pancakes at Rick’s Cafe and Pheasant, Wild Rice, Beer Cheese Soup and Sour Cream Raisin Pie at Anderson House in Wabasha- That was a trip I will always remember!
