I have to disagree with Sundancer7. I’m originally from central ny, where the diversity of the cuisine far outweighs the south. There they have just about any ethnic group there is with each of their country’s palette to satisfy. The only food that I had never tried in the north, that’s popular in the south, well Texas, anyway, is chicken fried steak. I have to agree with Dawyd on that. Even the grocery stores lack the diversity of c.n.y. I have to drive 20 miles to get veal and I live in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex. In fact, I had never seen grocery stores that didn’t make their own sausages and hot dogs in a dozen different ethnicities let alone none.
