Now that is one HARD question to answer. A lobster or fried clams from New England, or fresh cod or striped bass.
The great lakes: walleye and whitefish.
The south: a whole nother chapter……..grits, cornbread, okra, beans, BBQ, peach cobbler, gumbo, po’boys with soft shelled crabs, or a John G. with debris just to name a few. Oysters! Crawdads! Beignets with chickory coffee. Muffalettas. Maybe this is my favorite.
In the Heartland: A tavern (loosemeat) sandwich in the Sioux City, Iowa area. Of course pork tenderloin sandwiches. A killer burger in Martinsburg, NE at Bob’s Bar. Runzas from Nebraska. And of course STEAK!
Rockies: We zipped right through there.
SoCal: juicy drinks, fresh fruit and produce, tuna seared with black sesame seeds and ponzu sauce, foie gras, little pieces of fish carefully sauteed……typical SoCal.
Seems like we enjoy eating our was across the country
