DavidNYC, you are correct in your statement. I had the misfortune of encountering one of these things in an otherwise very good deli. I went to fill my glass and all I got was water. I told the owner and he brought out a big aluminized mylar bag and placed it in the dispenser. Voila, ersatz tea! It tasted quite disgusting, so I switched to diet soda.
Fresh brewed tea is an important criteria when choosing a restaurant for me, so my regular haunts brew the real stuff, usually, Luzianne.
Notice that Unilever’s website describes its dispenser as providing "fresh-brewed" tea. Talk about false advertising.
