Where I grew up on the Gulf Coast it was called chili. Even here in the Midwest, it’s usually chili and occasionally I see Coney Sauce. I like Gulf Chili the best, though. This one (with some ‘kraut) is from the Dew Drop Inn in Mobile. They also put it on their cheeseburgers (the inspiration for Buffett’s Cheeseburger in Paradise).
