This sounds like something entirely regional. Whereabouts in Michigan is it found? I can conceive of heading to Kalamazoo eventually, so I’ll look for it there.
Some of these local sausage makers only distribute to two or three counties because they only make so much and that’s it. Where do you find it?
Reminds me of Frank Corriher’s Livermush, which is ubiquitous on store shelves in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties of North Carolina, very spottily available in Charlotte and Lexington, and practically unfindable elsewhere. "We not but just so big and don’t work but just so many hours a week," Frank Corriher once said. The last I heard, he was still Chairman Of The Board there, and he must surely be 90 or above.
