I think that region is part of east Texas.
If you find some of the towns around there,you might google some of them to see if they have websites.Certainly most county seats do.
The town of Muenster,Tx has a website and mentions some restaurants and places,reflecting it’s german heritage.Don’t know for sure if it is near West.
