I was in Providence last weekend and met up with friends, who’s kids wanted the D&B experience.

I, as politely as possible, excused myself from dinner and went to Federal Hill for dinner at Medetranio — always my first stop when I’m in town. My dinner was excellent (I think Medeteranio is about the best Italian restaurant anyplace.)

I’m glad I didn’t miss much by avoiding D&B.
