Back in my Military time (Communications Intercept), we used headphones that sat on your ear, instead of the little one you burrow into the ear. We took great pride in rubbing carbon paper on the headset so that the next user would have a large very black ring around his ear when he removed the equipment after use. A common prank…but funny every time!
In fact, up to the time that lighter colored telephones became common office equipment it was a constant source of humor for my clerical staff to do this to each other when a good chuckle was called for. I miss the simple life…Black Telephones & Carbon Paper !! Arby’s Horsey Sauce in a Hand Lotion Bottle on a secretaries desk!!! (Worked every time !!)[;)][:o)][;)]
