Isn’t lemon-lime sort of the same as 7-up. I say that because the phrase 7 up has no meaning at all, but lemon-lime sure does.

Even "Sprite" is evocative, so I never could figure out the "7-up" stuff. I’m sure it had some meaning when it was invented, but that was before my time.
