We spend at least a month in the Dakotas, Montana, and Wyoming every year…this year all of June will be spent in and around Yellowstone and the Tetons, plus the drives from Indiana through Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc. to get to and from. After you decide where you want to start and finish we can offer some suggestions. Better make some plans soon, though. Many of the airports, especially in Montana and Wyoming have limited numbers of rentals available (especially SUVs), and they can go quickly. Same goes for accomodations. You may need some interstates…there are a limited number of roads (there are even bikers on the interstates in the Dakotas…and I don’t mean the motorized kind!) and the distances are great, with not much in between.
