Bill, pleased we’ve been helpful. Sure wish I could remember names of all the great stops I’ve made in that part of our great country. Don’t know your personal interests concerning your vacation. However, I will suggest some books concerning history in that vast area. The first three were written by my very favorite writer of American history, Stephen Ambrose, recently deceased.
"Crazy Horse And Custer", the parallel lives of two American warriors
"Undaunted Courage", the Lewis and Clark Expedition
"Nothing Like It In the World", the men who built the transcontinental railroad
The fourth, by another great historian, Robert Utley.
"A Life Wild And Perilous", mountain men and the paths to the pacific
This book best relates to visits to those wonderful parks, Glacier and yellowstone. Oh, don’t forget the Grand Tetons.
Notice you call home Nashville, I’m a native Tennessean.
