I also liked Night Gallery – the format allowed for adding some quick little stories, many with cheerfully macabre humor. One I remember well (spoilers ahead – as in ‘spoil your dinner’): an innocuous little man runs a specialized service – arranging transit out of the country for the very worst of criminals. His client this time is a textbook case, a brutally remorseless killer. As the arrangements are made and the money changes hands, the transporter offers a drink to toast the killer’s future. The killer realizes, as he blacks out, that he’s been drugged. We cut to the docks, to see the man’s method of transporting his clients: he exports his own special brand of…dog food.
