Just over a year ago, I was diagnosed with MS. Prior to that I led a very active life, enjoyed walking, being outdoors and travel. I now no longer drive and that’s the biggest bite in my life, to stay home and be at the mercy of others. This summer I began to use a walker and although it’s a pain for my driving friends to get it in and out of a car, it has given me new freedoms and I go more places than I did just using a cane. I tend to shop only in stores that have the electric scooters, may even get one for myself one day! Just this weekend we traveled out of town and stayed in a handicap accessible hotel room, the shower had a wonderful chair and hand held shower faucet and was easy to use. I have had no problems going anywhere with the walker.
