If your’re within 100 miles, do yourself a favor and check out "Joe’s Dreyfus Store" near Livionia (about half way between Opelousas and Baton Rouge on highway 190). Some of the finest eating in the state of finest eating. I’m sure you already know about Lea’s pies in LeCompte (just south of Alexandria). And Black’s Oyster Bar in Abbeville (south of Lafayette) for fantastic half-shells.
