I definitely agree that bigger isn’t better.  I used to tell my cooks that all the time.  But when it comes to a burger, I like a 10 oz. burger.  That way I can get it charred on both sides, MR in the middle and juicy throughout.  I don’t even care if I can’t finish the burger.  That’s the way I like it.  (I almost never finish it!)
