What is now commonly referred to as a gourmet burger  is usually an inch thick tomato and half a head of lettuce hiding a pretty mundane burger or five with 20 toppings falling off (the more off beat the better it seems) in a too chewy ready to crumble bun.  Give me plain and simple and let the wondrous flavor of a well cooked piece of beef (not elk or gator etc) shine through.
