Mine:

Sweet Potato with Pineapple (you really have to like pineapple):

6 large sweet potatoes boiled, peeled.
1/2 to 1 can crushed pineapple in HEAVY syrup don’t drain.
1 stick butter
a tablespoon or two of heavy cream if you have it
1/2 cup brown sugar
pinch cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, pepper

Mash all up, place in casserole and bake for 1/2 hour 350 or till hot and bubbly.

this is how I have made them the last couple years at Thanksgiving, even my very traditional Aunt gives them a thumbs up! I think I get some pecans in there somewhere….I’ll have to check my recipe again.
