The food is very comforting. The atmosphere and setting is warm and colonial – which transports you to days of George and Martha Washington. Small separate cosy dinning rooms, some with working fireplaces. But, a restaurant can’t exist for years on end, merely on atmosphere. The food at the Inn is exactly the type of food you’d expect to find at a fine farmhouse restaurant echoing both elegance and homemade at the same time, utilizing a combination of regional and colonial dishes. The service I’ve experienced has been nothing short of courteous, informative, and attentive.
I think at the end, you will not only have had an excellent meal and wonderful service, but you will also have been transported to the beginnings of American history in a setting you will want to linger around in to soak it all in.
