One thing that surprised me a little about my own trip to Thailand was that the Tahi food in Thailand wasn’t very different from the Thai food here in San Francisco. Obviously, the culinary range of most US Thai restaurants is somewhat limited, but what they do serve (at least here in SF where there are plenty of expatriate Thais) tastes to me about like what I ate there.
