I haven’t made it to Lotus of Siam, but have heard plenty of great comments.
When we make it to LV, we will definitely give it a try.
It’s really hard to find food that compares with the carts, stalls and small shops of SEA.
When someone specializes in one item, they usually do it well.
When a restaurant tries to be all things to all people, they usually fail.

Anyone who likes great food should really try a trip to Thailand.
With the exception of the airfare ($700~$800), everything is dirt cheap.
You can get really comfortable hotels for $20~$30.
With few exceptions, we never spend over a buck or 2 for a meal.
Most of the items shown ran 75� to $1.
The first photos, 89 Baht, was an all-you-can-eat proposition for "89 Baht" (about $2.25).
