I live on the Tennessee River just six miles downstream from the University of Tennessee stadium. As you can imagine, Football is big time here in Knoxville as there is very little else to do. On a typical football weekend in Knoxville, there are 110K folks that attend the game and the UT stadium is one of the few stadiums located on the river.
My Sundancer has been to the game many times and the VOL Navy is a big time event at the game and tailgateing or cooking on the boat has got to be pretty far out. I keep it simple but the folks with the big boats do not. They cater, they cook and the serve elaborate food. I am often invited over to enjoy some very good and expensive food. Some of these guys are very rich and two years ago when I drove the Sundancer to a big game, the 80 foot house boat next to me had a lobster cook out where he had several hundred lobsters. Where do these folks get their money?
My cook outs on the boat or tailgating tends to be much more modest with a crockpot, liquor, horse dervers and other beverages.
