Rouxdog..thanks. That sounds great. I like the idea of mixing in granny smith apples. Never thought about that. It sounds like a good switch up. I feel like my friends and I always cook the same things like wings, burgers, dogs.
The last tailgate I was at the guy started of with Pork roll, egg and cheese sandwiches. Then moved onto to an appetizer of buffalo wings, fried ravioli, and a mini pizza he made on the grill. He finished it off with authentic phlly cheese steaks with onions, cheese sauce and excellent rolls. I was slightly disappointed in the generic ketchup, but everything else was great.
Next time I meet up with him I’ll whip out your suggestion Roux. Maybe some chorizo thrown in as the meat[8D]
